Aerogel introduction

Nanometer porous aerogel (abr. as aerogel) is a kind of solid gel material with gas dispersion medium, in which the net structure is formed by mutual accumulation of gel particle or high polymer molecule. It belongs to mesoscopic substance and can be used as catalyzer carrier, electrode, absorbent, heat and sound insulting materials and the like. America has used it for star capturer, as well as heat insulating layer in Mars explorer, oil pipeline and LNG. China has also applied it to aerospace vehicle and refrigeration storage. It has very wide application prospect in aerospace, aviation, building, petroleum and petrochemical, power, energy and some other industries.

纳米多孔气凝胶（简称气凝胶）材料是一种分散介质为气体的凝胶材料，是由胶体粒子或高聚物分子相互聚积成网络结构的纳米多孔性固体材料。属于介观物质，可用作催化剂载体、电极、吸附剂、隔热隔声材料等，美国已经将其用作星辰捕捉器，以及于火星探测器、石油管道、液態天然氣 (LNG) 等隔热层；我国也已经将其应用于航天飞行器、冷库隔热等领域，在航空航天、建筑、石油石化、电力、能源等行业都具有十分广阔的应用前景。
